Meet Dr. Dale Bays
Oral Surgeon in Joplin, MO and Pittsburg, KS
graduated from Missouri State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He then attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1993. Dr. Bays then went on to complete a combined MD, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency training program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine/Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri in 1998.
After that, Dr. Bays enjoyed a successful 20-year career in private practice in Minnesota before having the opportunity to return home to southwest Missouri to join classmate and long-time friend, Dr. Burnett at Oral & Facial Surgery Center.
Dr. Bays is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesia. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Missouri Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Association, and Southwest Dental Society.
Dr. Bays currently practices a broad scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in dental implants, wisdom teeth and dentoalveolar surgery, and outpatient anesthesia. He is also an active member of the medical staff at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO where he participates in the care of facial trauma patients.
